Contract Hire
The Motability scheme allows you to rent a new Ford car from them over a period of 3 years. Generally you wont have to put anything towards this, however if you chose a more expensive model you may have to make a contribution. On the contract hire scheme Motability pay for all your service charges with 20,000 miles free per annum.
Hire Purchase
This is when Motability finances part of the cost of a new car. The customer pays the difference between the Motability contribution and the price of the car. The car belongs to the customer and has no mileage limitation, however the owner pays for servicing.
